Following the tragic loss of his brother, 20-year-old Joachim unexpectedly gains admission to Munich’s prestigious Otto Falckenberg drama school and moves into his grandparents’ grand villa. While demanding acting professors push him to bizarre emotional limits by day, his evenings are governed by the strict, alcohol-fueled domestic rituals of his eccentric grandparents. Caught between these two absurd extremes, Joachim struggles to discover who he truly is and what role he wants to play in life. A witty and poignant coming-of-age adaptation exploring grief, family bonds, and self-discovery.
