In the aftermath of the Thirty Years' War, a scarred and taciturn soldier arrives in an isolated village to claim the inheritance of an abandoned estate. Determined to secure a living, the newcomer endures deep hostility, performs relentless labor, and even enters an arranged marriage with a wealthy farmer’s daughter. Beneath the armor, however, lies a perilous secret: a woman living under a male disguise to escape the oppressive constraints of her era. As local suspicions intensify, maintaining the deception becomes a dangerous gamble for survival. A visually striking, atmospheric drama examining social roles and the fight for female autonomy.
