German film festival in Vietnam
May 1945. World War II is finally over. The Germans have sown hate by war and occupation of their neighbors, and now they reap hate. There are a dozen German soldiers who become POWs in Denmark. They must clean the Danish beach of treadmines, which the Germans have hidden there. Those guys have to search the sand for mines meter by meter. Where the next mine is located, where the danger of explosion is threatening them, is uncertain. A suicide mission, commanded by a Danish officer. The only thing which keeps their will to survive and to go on every day alive is the promise that they can return after completion of their task.
