Access Ability portrays images of 26 individuals from Sweden and China. They come from various walks of life and have different types of disabilities. Together their common message is that impairment does not determine who you are – they all represent themselves, not their disabilities. Access Ability illustrates that all individuals can contribute to creating a more diverse and equal society. The exhibition is a co-production between the Swedish Institute and the Consulate General of Sweden in Shanghai. Portraits were captured by Swedish photographer and filmmaker Markus Marcetic, and by the independent Beijing-based photographer Cong Yan.
