About the festival

The title “Frequencies” not only signifies the different generational waves of feminism, but also the diversity of movements and ideas that are encompassed by the term feminism. Frequencies represents the vitality of these feminisms and the need to make this issue heard even more throughout the whole of society. The festival wants to offer an open resonant space for global, multiperspectival, intersectional and diverse feminist movements and concepts.
Although our festival mainly took place on site at the Pfefferberg area and the Sophiensaele in Berlin, we would like to make it accessible to as many people as possible. That is why certain events in the programme are available online free of charge. Click here for the media libray.
The festival aimed to illustrate the diversity of feminist movements and to provide the debates on feminisms conducted here and elsewhere with new perspectives, alliances and plans of action. For this reason, a large part of the programme took place in English. Some events were simultaneously interpreted into German or took place in German. On our English and German language website you can find translated sessions and original versions in the respective language. In addition, the German-language media library offers translation into German sign language for some sessions.
