We warmly welcome individuals and organisations who wish to support the mission of the Friends of the Goethe-Institut UK. Whether through membership or a tax-deductible donation, your contribution directly helps us connect young people from the UK and Germany—building friendships, cultural understanding, and long-term ties between the two countries.

Our impact

In a time when intercultural exchange is more vital than ever, your support creates real opportunities and lasting impact. Join us in shaping a more connected future. We want to share with you what impact the work of the Friends of the Goethe-Institut UK has on some of the young people participated in our programmes such as the Exchange2Change programme. Find more on YouTube.

Become a member of the Friends of the Goethe Institut

You can contribute directly to enabling young people to participate in our exchange programmes by becoming a member or making an individual donation. Every contribution makes a difference, regardless of the amount.

For long-term members of the Friends of the Goethe-Institut, we offer two ways to get involved
  • Become a Project Sponsor (from £1.000), supporting a specific initiative, such as Exchange2Change
  • Make an individual donation as an individual Sponsor (from £3.000); or
  • Become a Corporate Sponsor (from £5.000 annually), which involves making a long-term commitment.
"This experience was pretty amazing"- Charlie about his participation in Exchange2Change
