KINO! Film Salon is a monthly online club to discuss films from Germany.
 
How it works: Each month we choose a German film or series currently available to stream on U.S. platforms, watch it independently, and come together for a hosted conversation with other fans of German film.
 
In our upcoming session we will discuss Maren Ade’s second feature Everyone Else, a richly cinematic, emotional tour de force. Amid a dreamy Mediterranean backdrop, Chris and Gitti find their lovers’ idyll tested when another couple enters their world, disrupting and challenging the insular construct of their connection. Far from a conventional romance, Ade’s precursor to the masterful Toni Erdmann is a prickly, sun-soaked exploration of the nuances and obstacles that characterize modern relationships, in all their beauty, caprice and fragility.
