First Karriere Quantum Camp 2025 taking place in Madrid
In partnership with TüftelLab Berlin, Karriere Quantum has set itself the goal of promoting European awareness of career prospects in the field of quantum technologies with Germany as a prime destination. Accordingly, the camp in Madrid placed emphasis on the young adults who were able to gain insights into the up-and-coming field of quantum technology through workshops and their own projects.
After the initial meeting in Madrid, the daily programme of the camp consisted of workshops on quantum technologies as well as interactive German language sessions and a scavenger hunt in the Retiro Park on Tuesday afternoon. The teachers were also actively involved: as part of the Teacher Ambassadors' Programme, they were able to develop quantum projects that can be applied to their own lessons – even the non-physics teachers!
The week wrapped up with a lively event where the results of the Teacher Ambassadors' Programme were presented onstage, while a panel discussion with students, teachers and external experts provided an inspiring opportunity to exchange ideas and reflect on the camp. Finally, the participants were given the opportunity to present the prototypes they had developed during the week.
Thanks to the sponsoring of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the collaboration of the Goethe-Instituts in Madrid and Dublin, and the partners from TüftelLab, the camp seamlessly combined education, cultural exchange, and international research. It offered a great harmony of learning and creativity, sparking not only curiosity in quantum technologies but also friendships that transcended borders.
