Eri (he/him) works at the intersection of art, activism, and writing. While pursuing formal art studies, he credits much of his knowledge and skills to informal communities where critical theory blends with lived experience. He is interested in contemporary power structures, disability studies, intersectional feminism, trans+ issues, and socially engaged art. In journalism, he values articles that critically examine established structures and simplistic discussions, show a broader socio-economic dimension, amplify the perspectives of marginalized groups, and take lived experience as a key source of knowledge.
During Young Journalist Programme, he plans to focus on access to assistive devices, such as wheelchair power attachments. He is fascinated by where society or the state draws the line between what people with disabilities genuinely need and what is considered an "unnecessary luxury."
