Jokūbas holds a bachelor’s degree in History from Vilnius University. For a long time, he has been involved in left-wing activism and the activities of various civic organizations. He is currently working on an article about the Lithuanian Left’s relationship with patriotism - exploring what Lithuania, the nation, and the state mean to them. This topic is personally significant to him due to his own complicated relationship with Lithuanian identity. By exploring this subject, he hopes to discover different ways of viewing our national values - ways that might not always fit into the conventional understanding of patriotism, but would still be authentic to people from Lithuania.
