Patrycja Buchalik dedicates much of her work to the Balkans and the Caucasus, where stories, conversations, and observations from her time in these regions have inspired many of her journalistic, academic, and photographic projects. She explores social and humanitarian issues, security, and the impact of conflicts and crises on societies.
As part of the Perspectives programme, she focuses on the ongoing problem of landmines in Bosnia and Herzegovina and how they continue to shape people's lives, from those involved in mine clearance to those living in communities still affected by their presence.
