Łukasz Słowiński

Łukasz Słowiński is from Kraków and currently studies journalism at the Jagiellonian University. Although he has never held a press card, he already considers himself a journalist. In an era dominated by infotainment, he is passionate about trustworthy, cross-border reporting and offering a European narrative shaped by his own Polish perspective.

His main interests lie in Central and Eastern Europe, though he avoids rigid labels, often finding it difficult to define where the East ends and the West begins. He is also deeply interested in Balkan politics, particularly in Serbia. Łukasz envisions his future in the media, focusing on in-depth, long-form storytelling — the kind of journalism that is too often overlooked by traditional outlets. That’s why he is truly grateful to have taken part in the Perspectives program.
