Profile: Nojus Setkauskas

Nojus Setkauskas comes from a background in documentary filmmaking, with experience working on film sets as well as within film festivals.

He is particularly interested in topics such as the social housing crisis and urban development, civil activism and human rights, national security, and the effects of technological advancement. His goal is to bring stories and perspectives into the local media discourse from distant parts of the world—amplifying voices that are often unheard.

Currently, he is preparing a publication on documentary filmmaking practices in Poland, South Africa, Canada, and Mexico, exploring how these approaches can contribute to systemic change and create a lasting impact within marginalised communities.
