Safar Concert

The Safar Concert was held at the Goethe Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan New Delhi, as the grand finale of the Simurgh Festival. The concert featured JISR, the music collective from Munich, accompanied by Sakhi Band, a duo on the tabla and rubab, and Dr. Chandrima Majumdar on the sarod.

The concert had music from around the world, kicking off with Sakhi Band followed by a collaborative rendition of a popular Afghan song, Laily Jan, with JISR. The concert then continued with a performance by Dr. Chandrima Majumdar with JISR playing Too Far Away &  Berma. JISR ended the concert with a popular German song.
