The Youth 4 German Cinema jury chose Mia Maariel Meyer’s “22 Lengths” as the 2026 winning film.

We chose this film "22 Lengths" because we believe it addresses complex themes that a young person might experience – or might never stop to consider the reality for a peer. It also demonstrates the strength that can exist within a sibling bond when parental figures are weak. All the while portrayed in a deeply emotional and cinematic journey that we hope you all enjoy.
