This youth campaign created a dialogue between youth in Kanchanaburi province on the topic of public space creation in Kanchanaburi city through a brainstorming activity involving children, youth, and members belonging to other generations. The goal was to develop and expand recommendations for the development and revival of the neglected Kanchanaburi Paper Factory, an important historical and architectural heritage site. Under the theme “What Would Youth Like to See on This Site?”, this youth group came up with the following preliminary ideas for the factory: Renovate and maintain the building in a way that maximizes its safety while preserves the original architecture, using it as a learning space for youth and converting its empty spaces into community spaces, such as sport zones, co-working spaces or exhibition spaces. The group was in close dialogue with the provincial and municipal authorities.
