Onleihe (eLibrary) of the Goethe-Institut Canada
What is the "Onleihe"?Onleihe is the eLibrary of the Goethe-Institut Canada. This service allows you to borrow digital documents, such as eBooks, audio files and electronic newspapers, for a predetermined period of time, by downloading them through our Onleihe.
Returning the document isn't necessary; at the end of the loan period, the document automatically becomes unavailable.
With our Onleihe, borrowing documents is at your fingertips 24/7.
Who can use the "Onleihe"?Every person who is interested, who lives in Canada and who is registered with our Onleihe, can use the services of this eLibrary.
Disclaimer: the use of Onleihe-media on Apple and Linux powered devices is very limited (at the moment, only eBooks in the ePub format). The use of Onleihe-media is not possible on Kindles. Why? Because Apple and Kindles have their own DRM, which are not compatible with some of the Onleihe’s documents' DRM. Please read the
Minimum Technical Requirements for eLibrary Use.
