The Goethe-VR-Sum is the virtual space for creative collaboration in culture, language and information and complements projects. The Goethe-Institut Sudan team uses the opportunity to connect the fragmented civil society in the region by organizing informal meetings, panels and artist talks as well as photo exhibitions.

The Goethe-Institut Sudan invites you to experience Postcards from Khartoum, Cairo, and Kampala — a virtual photography exhibition showcasing powerful visual stories by emerging Sudanese photographers. Launched in collaboration with documentary photographer André Lützen and Alaa Kheir the project explores life during and after the war through three cities.
The opening event features a panel talk “People & Places” and a guided tour.
The exhibition runs from June 16th  to July 15th  and includes curated tours, artist talks, and more.

Was bedeutet es, „dazwischen“ zu sein – noch nicht angekommen und doch nicht mehr dort zu sein, wo man war? Das Projekt der Goethe-Institute in Nordafrika und dem Nahen Osten in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Zentrum für Kunst und Urbanistik (ZK/U) Berlin lädt sieben Künstler*innen ein, diesen Zustand der Liminalität in einem Residenzprogramm künstlerisch zu erforschen.
