The 11-year-old Tilda and her grandfather Amandus have a deep, loving bond that is characterized by a lot of humor. Although Amandus, who has Alzheimer's disease, acts a little strange sometimes, his childlike behavior evokes sympathy.

The film deals very touchingly with the way the younger generation treats the sick and elderly, for whom our society often leaves no room. An issue that concerns everyone in this day and age.

With their fantastic play, the actors create beautiful, authentic and vivid images. Director Til Schweiger has succeeded to approach a difficult subject in a sensitive way and to create a film that truly touches the audience.
