German Short Film at Ajyal Youth Film Festival

The German Embassy Doha and the Goethe-Institut Gulf Region are happy to contribute to Ajyal Youth Film Festival 2017 as part of Qatar Germany 2017. Five German film professionals will visit the festival and present their films. Katja Benrath  presents her short film “All of Us” as part of the shorts program “Another Reality”.

For almost a decade, Kenya has been the target of terrorist attacks by the Al-Shabaab group, and this has led to mistrust between Christian and Muslim populations. When a Christian woman who experienced violence at the hands of Al-Shabaab, travels home in a bus of predominantly Muslim passengers, she is at once anxious and indignant. But when the bus is stopped by a group of terrorists, humanity prevails. Based on real-life events, “All of Us” demonstrates that true faith is stronger than hatred.
