Richard Wagner’s ‘Ride of the Valkyrie’ is a centerpiece of Francis Ford Coppola’s seminal ‘Apocalypse Now’, which we will show in cooperation together with Cinema Space.
The 1979 epic war movie tells the story of Captain Benjamin L. Willard who during the Vietnam War is sent on a dangerous mission into Cambodia to assassinate renegade Colonel Walter E. Kurtz who rules his own kingdom in the jungle. As Willard and the crew of a Navy patrol boat descend into the jungle, he is slowly overtaken by the jungle's mesmerizing powers and battles the insanity which surrounds him.
