The Vila Sul
The Goethe-Institut Salvador-Bahia is located in the Corredor da Vitória, n in close proximity to some of the most important cultural institutions in the city: Teatro Castro Alves, Teatro Vila Velha, Museu de Arte da Bahia (MAB), Museu de Arte Moderna (MAM), Museu de Arte Contemporânea (MAC), Instituto Cervantes, Alliance Française and the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA).
The Vila Sul is located in a side wing of the Goethe-Institut building. With its studio theater, two galleries, inner courtyard, creative lab and other (seminar) rooms, the resdinecy has ideal conditions for encounters, reflections, presentations and cultural production.

The premises
The VILA SUL is located in a side wing of the Goethe-Institut building.
The residents’ rooms reflect a loft style: Each room has a sleeping area (king or queen size bed), a sofa, a table, a refrigerator, enough storage space, and a private bathroom (with shower).
In the KreativLab of the Goethe-Institut Salvador-Bahia, you will find our makerspace with the Project Garden, a VR station, a Sonic Chair, and a spacious study and reading room. The focus of the room concept is the makerspace which is equipped with a 3D printer, laser cutter, CNC Holder, electronic kits, as well as tools for working with various materials. The space is also frequently used by the local cultural scene for book launches, workshops, and conferences. The KreativLab team is at the disposal with their knowledge and expertise.
Recently, the Goethe-Institut set up a small work studio for visual artistswho are invited to create their works or do practical research in there.
The Goethe-Institut Salvador-Bahia has two gallery spaces, a large and open one, and a small and closed one. In addition to the exhibitions of the residents, regular presentations of the works of local artists also take place here.
