Science Film Festival

The Science Film Festival is a celebration of science communication in Southeast Asia, South Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America: In cooperation with local partners, it promotes science literacy and facilitates awareness of contemporary scientific, technological and environmental issues through international films with accompanying educational activities. The Science Film Festival presents scientific issues accessibly and entertainingly to a broad audience and demonstrates that science can be fun. The event has grown considerably since its first edition in 2005, becoming the largest event of its kind worldwide.

2025 Edition
Science Film Festival Cameroon 2025
The Goethe Institut Kamerun, in partnership with Science Pour Tous (a Scientific Awareness Laboratory), will organise the 21st edition of the Science Film Festival 2025, from 28 to 29 November in Yaoundé, Cameroon.
This year, the aim is to highlight Green Jobs that have a significant impact on environmental preservation and to offer young people (children aged 5–11 and teenagers aged 12–17) the opportunity to discover these jobs and the careers associated with them.
For 2 days, several activities will be carried out:

• Viewing selected films.
• Scientific experiments.
• Conferences on the theme.
• Talks on green jobs.
• Various entertainments.
• Games and competitions.
• Exhibitions.

The festival will be held at the Goethe-Institut Kamerun.
