This book unmasks the face of widowhood in Africa, and how it affects millions of women across the continent and which is shaped by the societal norms and customs. It outlines some of the cruel circumstances most women go through silently during this period of life altering and profound transition marked by loss, rejection.
The author uses the five stages of Grief by Elizabeth Kübler-Rose to narrate her personal story and the reality of other women and mostly the healing process leading towards rebuilding. This book is a call for justice directed at policymakers and society, and highlights the need to empower women even before and after this natural transition

About the author
Ngecha N. Nora, born in M’mockmbie, (Southwest Region), holds degrees in Educational Foundation and Administration from the University of Buea, a DIPES I from the Ecole National Supérieure de Bambili (ENS Bambili).
A prolific writer, she uses her platforms to empower especially women facing hardship.
