PRAX, whose real names are Mbi Praxcedis Wainko is a Cameroonian Afro-pop singer, songwriter, composer, and performer whose music is rooted in storytelling, emotion, and human connection. Having written music since the age of 12, Praxcedis developed her passion for performance through school and church choirs. Since beginning her professional journey around 2020, the artist has built a strong stage presence through live performances and competitions across Cameroon, earning recognition as a finalist in the Truce Music Contest (2022) and first runner-up in the Mustard Seed Talent Show (2025). Since releasing her original music in 2022, Goethe-Decouverte 2026 laureate in the music-voice category has produced several singles and collaborations, exploring themes of identity, mental health, relationships, and social well-being. Through her artistry, she seeks to inspire reflection, spark conversations, and create meaningful connections with audiences.

The Goethe‑Découverte 2026 laureate presents Nsé, a musical concert that explores themes of family, fatherhood, identity, and the ways in which our relationships with our parents’ shape who we become. Through a powerful blend of music and storytelling, the performance reflects on absence, forgiveness, gratitude, and the realities we wish had been different. At the same time, Nsé highlights the vital role of parents and underscores the importance of their presence, care, and active involvement in the lives of their children.
