Mario Bellatin
Road to the Sea

Mexico-born writer. He studied Theology and Film. His more than 40 books published have been translated into 15 languages. Winner of the Xavier Villaurrutia award, Mazatlán, the Barbara Gittings Literature Award, the Antonin Artaud Award, and this year, the José María Arguedas Prize. In 2012, he was a curator of Documenta 13, Kassel. His most important projects, apart from writing, include the Dynamic School of Writers, Bellatin's One Hundred Thousand Books, and the feature film Black Ball, a Ciudad Juárez musical.
