Second workshop in Cyprus for playwrights

Guilt and shame remains the thematic focus of the second writers' workshop taking place in Nicosia within the framework of the New Stages Southeast regional project.

The awarded German writer Ulrike Syha will lead a workshop in which playwrights from all over Southeast Europe and Cyprus will participate. Melina Papageorgiou, Aliye Ummamel, Maria Kyriakou, Lucija Klarik and Irena Parezanović are among the participants.

New Stages Southeast is a project of the Goethe-Instituts in the region of Southeast Europe, which is about promoting current and relevant social issues in contemporary theatre. The participating countries are Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Greece, Croatia, Romania, Serbia and Cyprus.
