Weeks of the German Language
The Weeks of the German Language aim to bring audiences closer to the German language and the culture of the German-speaking countries, as well as to highlight the benefits of multilingualism and intercultural exchange.
The Weeks of the German Language are organized annually by the Embassies of Austria, Germany and Switzerland and the Goethe-Institut Cyprus.
This year the Weeks of the German Language will begin on 10th November 2025 and conclude on 29th November 2025. During this time, a series of activities and events related to the German language and the culture of each country will take place in Nicosia, Limassol and Paphos: literary events, film screenings, concerts, lectures, culinary events and more.
This year’s theme, “Stimmen & Geschichten” (Voices and Stories), highlights everyday narratives and diverse perspectives that have shaped society—both in German-speaking countries and in Cyprus. Through a vibrant programme of events, the initiative aims to foster dialogue, celebrate diversity, and inspire reflection.
