The Weeks of the German Language are organized annually by the Embassies of Austria, Germany and Switzerland and the Goethe-Institut Cyprus.
This year the Weeks of the German Language will begin on 1st November 2023 and conclude on 16 November 2023. During this time, a series of activities and events related to the German language and the culture of each country will take place in Nicosia, Limassol and Paphos: literary events, film screenings, concerts, lectures, culinary events and more.
The Goethe-Institut is also organising a video competition for young German learners for the second time with the theme “Mein Tag mit Superkräften” (My Day with Superpowers). The competition will start on 09 October 2023 and the deadline for submissions is 09 November 2023. As part of the competition, a workshop on video production with smartphones will be organised and the inspiring film "Supa Modo" will be screened.
