This seminar demonstrates how positive relationships and the conscious promotion of well-being, for both teachers and learners, have a lasting impact on educational success. Together, we will reflect on how a supportive and appreciative learning environment strengthens motivation, engagement and the willingness to learn. The focus will be on practical strategies for relationship-building and for strengthening emotional and social skills.

Speaker:Joanna Przybyłowska

Joanna Przybyłowska studied German language and literature at Jagiellonian University and German as a Foreign Language (DaF) methodology at the University of Vienna. She is a practising German teacher with experience of teaching learners of all ages, and works as a methodology consultant at the Teacher Training Centre in Kraków. She has been working with the Goethe-Institut since 2007. She is a certified examiner and multiplier, leads training courses for German teachers and workshops for pupils. She is particularly interested in the following topics: communication, interpersonal relationships, movement, games, music, activation methods, language exams, project work, the use of digital media, AI and literature in the classroom. She also collaborates with other organisations in the field of German as a foreign language and is the author and co-author of teaching materials and numerous pedagogical innovations. For her innovative teaching, she was awarded the title ‘Innovative Teacher 2018’ by the Polish Ministry of Education.
