Noisy Words: Annette Krebs

Annette Krebs opens the 2026 edition of "Noisy Words" and invites the audience to immerse themselves in her unique sonic language and soundscape.

A solo for strings, glasses, fizzy powder, paper, voice, Computer, tablets, Arduino, field recordings, and four speakers.
Activated and heavily miked sound materials, together with field recordings, form the starting point for electroacoustic, digitally transformed soundscapes—reconstructed with oscillators or fused into hybrid sounds. Through techniques of spectral manipulation and reconstruction, as well as DIY programming to control the speakers via self-built interfaces, hybrid-organic, three-dimensional sonic spaces emerge, Annette Krebs performs the opening set of Noisy Words 2026 edition inviting the audience to delve into her unique sound language and landscape.
