Satu Rämö is a Finnish-Icelandic author and an entrepreneur in communications. She holds a Master of Science in Economics and a Bachelor of Arts. She was the top-selling Finnish author in 2023, with her HILDUR detective series selling almost 330,000 copies. As of September 2024, the publishing rights for the HILDUR series had been sold to 17 countries, including Germany, France, the Nordics and the  UK. Rämö lives with her Icelandic spouse and their two children in Ísafjörður, Iceland
