Madiha Aijaz holds an MFA in Photography from Parsons – The New School for Design. She was awarded the Fulbright scholarship in 2007. She has worked as the head of IUCN Pakistan’s Education, Communication and Outreach Programme for a number of years and was also heading the Postgraduate programme in Photography at the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture (IVS) in Karachi, Pakistan.

Her photographs and short films have been shown in India, United States, South Korea and South Africa. In 2014, her photographic work on the Hindu temples in Pakistan was published by Niyogi Books in India (Abbasi, Aijaz, Historical Temples in Pakistan – A Call to Conscience). She has produced and written short documentaries for non-profits and has also produced for television. Her work has been featured on Commonwealth Writers, Herald magazine, Roads and Kingdoms, India Today, Mint, Hindu and Wall Street Journal. She is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Communication Design at IVS and has also taught at the University of Karachi.
