To spotlight the Paralympic Games, a top-level international multi-sport competition and a celebration of excellence, courage and life, EUNIC Japan is organizing a Paralympics Photo Exhibition entitled “Spirit in Motion - for Diversity & Inclusion”. “Spirit in Motion” is the official motto of the Paralympic Games, introduced in 2004.

In order to contribute to the recognition of the achievements and raising awareness of the sportswomen and sportsmen who compete in the Paralympic Games, as well as highlighting the importance of disability inclusion, EUNIC Japan is holding “Spirit in Motion” in summer 2021 in partnership with Delegation of the European Union to Japan and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government at their Tosei Gallery at its main building in Shinjuku.

16 European institutions based in Tokyo and Photo Kishimoto (Japan) are working together to showcase about 40 photographs from across Europe and Japan that put visitors at the heart of magical moments from the Paralympic Games.

EUNIC – European Union National Institutes for Culture – is the European network of organizations engaging in cultural relations. EUNIC advocates a prominent role of culture in international relations and functions as a platform for knowledge sharing as well as for capacity building amongst its members and partners.
The EUNIC Japan cluster is the network's branch based in Tokyo and engages in cultural relations, co-creating activities with partner organizations. EUNIC Japan has no legal personality but is a project-based voluntary cooperation association.
