Inspired by the stories of movement and daily life of those who have built a community in the Utoro district of Uji City in Kyoto prefecture, as a new place to live, the Utoro Art Festival 2025 will be held under the theme of ‘Migration, Habitation and Hope – Life between Lands and Continets’.
Alongside with the Utoro Peace Memorial Museum and Doshisha University, Villa Kamogawa is one of the festival venues. The Villa will also host an exhibition of contemporary art that opens up new perspectives on mobility.
