As a part of the project "Solitude – Silence, Self-Care and Creativity" we present a series of solo performances by experimental artists.

Performers:
Phew (Electronics, Voice)
Taketeru Kudo (Dance)

Phew
A founding member of the legendary art punk band Aunt Sally, Phew continued her career as a solo artist after the band broke up in 1979. In the early 2010s, she released a series of works combining vocals with electronic music, gaining worldwide recognition as an electronic artist. A collaborative album with Danielle de Picciotto, one of the founders of Berlin's Love Parade, is scheduled for release in February 2026.

Taketeru Kudo
Born in Tokyo in 1967, Kudo graduated from Keio University's Faculty of Letters, Department of French Literature. While studying, he was involved in theater and European and classical Japanese dance, but his encounter with butoh in 1989 determined his future path. After performing works by Kōichi Tamano and Yukio Waguri, he began his solo career in 1992. From 1995 to 1998, he was a member of Sankai Juku. In 1997, he founded his own collective, Tokyo Gienkan. While collaborating with artists and companies from various fields, he continues to perform regularly with solo works around the world.
