Have you always wondered how DJing actually works? How separate tracks turn into a flowing set? Maybe you’ve tried it before and want to explore it more deeply?

On March 25th at 2 PM, join us for an open and welcoming DJ workshop. Led by Tmnit Ghide, a fellow from the current artist residency program, this hands-on session introduces the basics of DJing – working practically with a USB stick and controller.

The format is intentionally not overly formal – the focus is on trying things out, building confidence and learning together. Ideally, by the end of the workshop, we’ll already hear some first transitions

You’re welcome to send 2 song suggestions via YouTube link at your registration via Registration-Form.  (no guarantee they will be used, but we’ll try!)

This workshop is for everyone who is curious, open to new experiences and interested in exploring DJing – whether you’re a complete beginner or have already experimented a little. We’re looking forward to an inspiring afternoon in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

About the facilitator:

Tmnit Ghide

Tmnit Ghide has been a passionate DJ for 12 years and sees DJing as a communal act – without togetherness, there is no real DJ experience. She loves moving between genres, playing high-energy upbeat sets as well as immersive ambient listening sessions. Storytelling through music is central to her artistic approach. She strongly believes that anyone can learn the craft and especially encourages young individuals to step up to the controller.
