What does the future of German language education in Japan look like?
The conference „Perspektive DaF in Japan”, held on 11 July 2026 at the Goethe-Institut Tokyo, offers a forum for everyone who wishes to actively shape the future of German teaching. It creates space for new ideas, critical questions, and shared visions.
Teachers, researchers, and interested participants come together to exchange perspectives and learn from one another. Through dialogue between practice and theory, fresh impulses for tomorrow’s DaF (German as a Foreign Language) teaching emerge—concrete, inspiring, and connecting.
Current developments, new research, innovative practices—this is where expertise meets vision.
At the center of the symposium are both the latest developments in German as a Foreign Language (DaF) teaching and the concrete challenges arising from classroom practice—discussed in connection with sustainable perspectives for the future.
