Peter Sloterdijk
(born: 26.06.1947 in Karlsruhe), Philosopher, Author
Peter Sloterdijk studied Philosophy, History and German Literature in Munich and Hamburg. After his return from an Indian ashram, Sloterdijk worked as a freelance writer from 1980. His book Critique of Cynical Reason appeared three years later and became a bestseller. Sloterdijk has been awarded various prizes, including the Ludwig Börne Prize. With his contributions on current affairs, Peter Sloterdijk has sparked numerous debates over the years. He lives in Karlsruhe, Berlin and Provence.
