Finn-Ole Heinrich
(born 13.09.1982 in Henstedt-Ulzburg), author, film-maker
Finn-Ole Heinrich studied film direction in Hanover and started publishing books during this time. His debut, die taschen voll wasser (Pockets Full of Water), was published in 2005, a collection of short stories. Two years later it was followed by his first novel Räuberhände (The Boy With The Robber's Hands), a coming-of-age story. Most of his works are aimed at children and young people. The children's book Frerk, du Zwerg! (Frerk The Dwarf; 2011) received the German Children's Literature Prize in 2012. Finn-Ole Heinrich also received numerous scholarships and other prizes such as the German-French Youth Literature Prize, the Lynx of the Year and the Hamburg Endowment for Literature. He lives in Hamburg and Southern France.
