Internal = You took a German course at the Goethe-Institut Philippinen no longer than six months before the exam date. External = You did not take your German course at Goethe-Institut Philippinen but would like to take an exam.

How to register for an exam:
  1. Fill out the online registration form and upload a scanned copy of your valid ID (we only accept the following IDs: passport, NBI clearance, National ID or UMID). 
  2. After submitting the registration form, you should receive an automated email with the payment instructions. Please check your Spam Folder as well. We accept payments via LBC door to door money transfers and online bank transfers.
  3. Send your proof of payment via email to einschreibung-manila@goethe.de

Please note that we do not accept reservations and slots are on a first-paid, first-served basis. We can only guarantee a slot once we receive your payment and if there are still available slots.

For October exam registrations, please note that we are only available for walk-in transactions and cash payments on the following dates:
 
5-9 September (Mon - Fri)
19-23 September (Mon- Fri)
from 9AM to 12PM and 1PM to 3PM

* We are unable to accept any walk-in transactions from 12-16 September due to the exams that will be held on those dates.​

Up to 5 customers will be admitted at the same time inside the premises.
General Terms and Conditions for Exams
 
1.  Terms of Payment

1.1   Exam fees are paid in full upon registration.
1.2   Registration is on a first paid, first served basis. Reservations are strictly not accepted.
 
2.  Exam fees
2.1   The contractually binding fee is the fee stated in the price list current at the time of application.
2.2   The internal exam price will be charged if the client has attended a course at Goethe-Institut Manila within 6 months, after that the external price will apply.
2.3   Should a participant wish to change his or her booking, then each booking change is subject to a fee equal to 10% of the exam fee.
2.4   Booking changes are only allowed up to five (5) working days before the start of the exam.
 
3.  Cancellation and refunds         
3.1   Cancellations and refunds are only allowed up to five (5) working days before the start of the exam.
3.2   If a candidate does not appear in either the written or oral exam or arrives late for an exam, he/she shall be excluded from the exam. The exam fee will not be refunded.  No results shall be published.
3.3    If an exam is not taken for reasons of illness, the exam center must be informed as soon as possible and a doctor’s certificate should be submitted to the exam center within 5 working days.  The exam fee will be credited for the next exam date. A 10% processing fee shall be charged.
 
4.  Requirements 
4.1   Exam participants must be at least 16 years of age upon registering for an exam.​
4.2   All candidates are required to present proof of identification before the written and oral exams.
4.3   Fully vaccinated exam participants must present proof of vaccination for COVID-19 on the day of their exam. Non-vaccinated participants must present a negative RT-PCR test dated within 24 hours before their exam.
4.4   All exam participants must comply with the current health protocols and wear a facemask at all times.
 
5.  Responsibilities of participants
Participants are obliged to comply with the rules and regulations applicable to the Goethe-Institut Philippinen. This implies that participants dress in an appropriate way during exams according to the norms which apply to public spaces. 
 
6. Liability of the Goethe-Institut
The liability of Goethe-Institut Philippinen and its staff is limited to intent and gross negligence. Goethe-Institut Philippinen also accepts no liability for the cancellation of its services due to force majeure, e.g. natural disasters, fire, floods, war, official orders and all other circumstances beyond the control of the contracting parties.
We are happy to welcome you to our language courses and/or exams. However, it is vital to follow health protocols when coming to the Goethe-Institut. 

Everyone must 
  • Wear a face mask 
  • bring their own hand sanitizer or disinfectant spray 
  • show proof of full vaccination (A person is considered fully vaccinated two weeks after their last dose.​​) 
  • observe social distancing 

In addition, exam participants must
  • bring the print-out of their exam schedule sent to them via email 
  • bring any of the following IDs: original passport, NBI Clearance, or SSS UMID 
  • bring their vaccination card 
  • bring their own ballpens (either black or blue ink). Erasable pens are not allowed. 
Starting May 2022, exam participants may now pick-up their exam certificates at the Adamson Centre on certain dates and strictly by appointment only (usually within 5 to 10 working days after exam results are posted online). 
 
The procedures are as follows:
1. On the day of the exam, participants must decide on whether they will have their certificate sent via LBC courier or if they will pick it up at the Institute.
2. After exam results are posted online, a link to the booking appointment system will be sent to those who opted to pickup their certificates.
3. An email will be sent to confirm the appointment. 
4. Participants must bring at least one valid ID and their vaccination card to pickup their certificate.
 
* Only fully vaccinated individuals are allowed to pickup their certificates at the Institute.

Disclaimer: Goethe-Institut Philippinen reserves the right to cancel the exams at short notice if necessary, depending on how the situation surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic develops or depending on the local quarantine restrictions which are set by the Philippine government.
