The U-SPEAK Live initiative is a poetry collective that aims to establish a vibrant slam scene in Kigali and to nurture the talents of young individuals, particularly within the local artistic community. As well as creating a dynamic platform for artistic expression and community engagement.
The inaugural activity of this project is a five-day slam residency, where 5 talented poets were invited to immerse themselves in the creative atmosphere of Kigali. This residency will culminate in a spectacular slam performance on May 4th, 2024 at the Goethe Institut Kigali.
