We promote cultural exchange, education and social discourse

We foster bilateral cultural exchange programs between Germany and Rwanda. We initiate film series, exhibitions, concerts, seminars and festivals, always with the goal to facilitate artistic production, reception and reflection involving actors from both countries.

    Henrike Grohs Art Award

    In memory of Henrike Grohs, the Goethe-Institut and the Grohs family have initiated a 20,000€ prize dedicated to artists living and working in Africa.

    The House of African Feminisms (HoAF) is a platform for feminist discourse, resource and enlightenment. The project aims at highlighting the works of various African feminist scholars, artists and thinkers around the world as well as providing a resource on African feminisms.
