Science Film Festival
01.10. - 20.12.2025
The Science Film Festival is an annual program organized by the Goethe-Institut, in cooperation with partners and schools in 22 countries around the world, including 7 countries in Southeast Asia. Through the Film Festival, the Goethe-Institut wishes to raise children and young people's understanding of science and awareness of current issues through international films and accompanying interactive educational activities. Many scientific advances and environmental issues are presented in an attractive and accessible way for young audiences. The films screened at the Film Festival are produced with the aim of inspiring the next generation of scientists, environmentalists and engineers. The event has grown considerably over the years, becoming the largest event of its kind worldwide.
With many countries committed to reducing emissions and promoting renewable energy, political actions and regulations have emerged, encouraging the growth of green jobs. From environmental engineers to sustainable agriculture specialists, these professions are central to the global shift toward a low-carbon economy. And remember: green jobs don’t always start with big titles or complex tasks. They can begin with simple, everyday actions: separating waste into the right bins, turning off unused lights, or avoiding water waste. Every small step is part of the bigger change, and today’s small actions can be the foundation for tomorrow’s sustainable future.
