A Contemporary Dance Piece by Vũ Ngọc Khải with music by Ngô Hồng Quang
Quan Chưởng Gate, Hàng Chiếu Street, Hoàn Kiếm District

Inspired by Quan Chưởng Gate – one of the most ancient gates in Hanoi’s old town which in the past as entrances to the city – Vũ Ngọc Khải created a 7 minute dance piece named “The Wanderer”.

Designed as a trip to the past, it is the artist’s search for his identity. Living in Germany for more than 10 years, Khai finds himself a stranger in his own hometown Hanoi. Where does he belong to? The city is changing fast and so is he. Has he left anything besides his childhood memories behind the gate?
Viewers are able to see the dance piece at the site using Into Thin Air’s Augmented Reality app. The work is available in day or night mode following GPS timelines.
