Goethe-Institut Hanoi and A Queer Museum are pleased to announce our first joint public workshop Case(S) study about Queer and Feminist Archive. This workshop is an integral part of the A Queer and Feminist Archive project, which aims to explore methods, strategies and preservation techniques for queer and feminist materials. Additionally, the project aims to create a platform for discussion about the challenges and opportunities inherent in archiving queer community stories.

This workshop is one output of the open call Queer Ideas by Goethe-Institut Vietnam.

The workshop will have two main sessions:
  • Morning, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM | Open to the public: Presentations on Queer and Feminist Archiving Projects in Vietnam, Indonesia, and Germany.
  • Afternoon, 1:30 PM - 5:00 PM | For project members and interested public: Discussions, exploration, and analysis of Queer and Feminist archives from materials found at the Goethe Institute Library in Hanoi (56-58 Nguyễn Thái Học, Ba Đình, Hanoi), Manzi Gallery at Manzi Art Space & Cafe (14 Phan Huy Ích, Ba Đình, Hanoi), and A Queer Museum (103 Ngọc Lâm, Long Biên, Hanoi).

Move to Manzi Art Space & Cafe, explore and discuss queer art through several works at Manzi Gallery, and view the art space as part of the Queer ecosystem in supporting activities and events for the Queer community.
