Goethe-Institut Prague – Das Filmfest
The Goethe-Institut Prague has been organizing Das Filmfest in collaboration with the Austrian Cultural Forum and the Embassy of Switzerland since 2006. Over the years the festival has become a staple event for all enthusiasts fans of German-language film and culture, presenting not only the latest film productions but also heritage films that have proven their enduring value across generations and audiences.
In addition to the capital, the festival has also expanded to other Czech cities such as Brno, Ústí nad Labem, and Olomouc. Das Filmfest also offers a programme for schools, and the festival’s school screenings have become a popular and well-attended part of the event.

FilmED Website
The film education website film-ed.eu was created as the main output of a Creative Europe MEDIA project FilmED, which united partners from 6 different countries. Together we created a portal for anyone interested in film education, new ideas, different approaches and sources of inspiration. The website includes many lesson plans and methodologies in 7 languages accessible to different needs, experience levels, and age groups.
FilmED Kinderklub
FilmED Kinderklub started in 2024 as a weekly bilingual film club for children aged 3-5. Since then, we have expanded our age range, film catalogue and network of collaborators, but the core stays the same: the kids watch short films, discuss them and explore their creativity through different interactive activities. The bilingual aspect is a natural part of the experience with the help of one German-speaking and one Czech-speaking lecturer.

Inconvenient Films - Human Rights Documentary Film Festival
Inconvenient Films was established in 2007 and has since then grown into the largest documentary film event in Lithuania and the Baltic states. It aspires to be a courageous and influential platform for showcasing artistic documentary films, with a mission to provide innovative and widely accessible film-based education on both film literacy and human rights, with a particular focus on engaging young people, as well as audiences in the regions. In 2020 the festival pioneered a cohesive video-on-demand infrastructure that is the base for highly successful educational and regional outreach distribution initiatives.
NK-KLASĖ
NK-KLASĖ (The Inconvenient Films Classroom) is a free educational platform offering documentary films and learning resources for teachers, educators, youth workers, and other professionals working with children and young people.
Through documentary films, the platform encourages conversations about democracy, human rights, media literacy, and other important contemporary issues. Accompanied by specially developed educational materials, the films help foster empathy, critical thinking, and meaningful discussion in both formal and non-formal learning environments.
The platform is free of charge and accessible throughout Lithuania.
NK-DOKU
NK-DOKU is a human rights documentary film programme for communities, designed to turn film screenings into spaces for dialogue, reflection, and collective learning.
Libraries, universities, student organisations, film clubs, and other community groups can organise free educational screenings using a specially curated online catalogue. Alongside the films, organisers receive educational and communication materials to support discussions and public engagement activities.
NK-DOKU encourages communities not only to watch films, but also to actively engage with important social issues through shared cinematic experiences.
NK-INTERACTIVE
NK-INTERACTIVE is an immersive programme exploring human rights, technology, and interactive storytelling through virtual reality and other extended reality formats.
During the festival, NK-INTERACTIVE presents a curated XR programme for wider audiences, while throughout the year it also runs VR educational activities for school students and young people across Lithuania. Through immersive experiences and guided discussions, participants explore topics such as autism spectrum experiences, sustainability, ecology, and human rights, using XR as a tool for empathy, curiosity, and critical thinking.

Verzió International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival
Verzió is one of the most established film festivals in Hungary, an important meeting place for the documentary film community and diverse audience of documentary film lovers. The founders vision was to create a platform for international documentary films with a focus on human rights, that was missing from Hungary until then. In 20 years, Verzió programmes were attended by more than 250.000 visitors and the festival’s online streaming platform Verziotheque allows access to the festival films from anywhere in the country.

Student Verzió
Student Verzió is the educational programme of the Verzió International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival, offering free documentary film screenings, discussions, and workshops for secondary school students and teachers in Budapest and major cities in Hungary. Through creative documentaries addressing topics such as climate change, migration, identity, and growing up, the programme encourages critical thinking, democratic dialogue, empathy, and media literacy. In addition to screenings, students engage in moderated conversations with filmmakers and experts, as well as interactive group activities designed specifically for young audiences.
Four Elements Film Festival
The 4 Elements Summer Film Festival is one of Slovakia’s oldest film events, presenting a themed program of feature, documentary, animated, experimental, short, and full-length films. Held in unique locations across Banská Štiavnica, the festival also offers lectures, discussions, workshops, concerts, exhibitions, parties, and a special children’s program with films and creative activities.
Four Elements Summer Film Festival also includes a children’s program called “Children’s Four Elements,” which offers screenings of quality children’s films as well as workshops and creative activities.

Beldocs International Documentary Film Festival
Based in Belgrade, Serbia, Beldocs is a key gathering place for creative documentaries and European film professionals in the Western Balkans. It showcases top national and global documentaries, offering a broad view of recent productions while discovering new voices. The festival supports regional industry growth and focuses on artistically and socially relevant cinema, selecting outstanding European and world documentaries.
Beldocs has continuously organized educational initiatives such as Beldocs Teen, Beldocs Young Programmers program, MiniDoc workshops of creative short documentary films for teenagers, and teacher training programs. In the last few years, the festival has also implemented a number of international youth exchange projects, including Connecting Futures, #DocYouthAlliance, and Changemakers DocPoint.

Since its establishment in 2008, Beldocs is dedicated to its young audiences and delivers a wide range of educational activities through training sessions, workshops, screenings accompanied by moderated discussions, and international youth exchange programs.
