Dobrý trh September 2024

The September edition of Dobrý trh (The Good Market) catered to cyclists with several engaging events. At the SOB Cyklopoint, attendees could explore the Cyklo Kitchen’s “Pimp My Bike” station, receive bike diagnostics and service at the BANM Cycle Shop, and view an inspiring exhibit by Hento Toto, featuring artwork created by artists with disabilities under the theme All We Need Is Bike. Throughout the day, the Union of the Blind and Visually Impaired of Slovakia provided an immersive experience for visitors to understand the daily challenges faced by blind and visually impaired individuals on roads and streets.

Artist Nora Tormann, part of the CYCLE UP! artist-in-residence programme, also led an event. Focusing on cycling culture and the concept of utopias, she invited visitors to share their cycling-inspired visions for the future, which were compiled into a collaborative CycloManifesto.

On the CTZN.sk stage, renowned urban planning expert Janette Sadik-Khan from New York christened the first print edition of CTZN magazine. Dedicated to advancing urban cycling, CTZN was launched as part of the European CYCLE UP! initiative, promoting cycling-friendly cities and sustainable transportation solutions.
