We organized a variety of activities in 2023 for you to enjoy the linguistic and cultural diversity of Europe.

You could try our online language quiz (and, with a little bit of luck, win a Kindle e-reader or another prize kindly provided by our partners).

On 26 September, Library of Languages organized a language festival at Kampus Hybernská to mark the European Day of Languages. The programme included language-themed lectures, workshops and readings. You could also try an escape game, visit an exhibition or form a team and compete at a language themed pub quiz.

Kampus Hybernská also hosted the popular speak-dating event.

Speak dating is a session of brief introductions to foreign languages. It consists of short (5–10 minutes) language “lessons” in a language of your choice (mostly with a native speaker). The teachers are able to adapt to your level. You can practice your existing language skills or try out a new foreign language on your way home from work or school. In 2023, over 20 languages were on offer.
