Daniel Wisser, Wolfgang Schäuble, Rayk Anders, Dana Grigorcea Das Blaue Sofa
16. June
19:00-20:00 CEST
“Das Blaue Sofa” is the joint literary format of Bertelsmann, ZDF, Deutschlandfunk Kultur and 3sat. For the Kultursymposium Weimar 2021, a special edition of the program was recorded in the architecturally impressive Bauhaus Museum Weimar. The participants include four authors whose works touch on different aspects of this year’s festival topic “generations”: The Berlin YouTuber and journalist Rayk Anders, presenting his socio-critical book Der Barbar in uns muss Liebe finden, the Romanian-Swiss writer Dana Grigorcea with her political novel about the undead Die nicht sterben, and President of the Bundestag Wolfgang Schäuble, talking about his contribution to the current debate Grenzerfahrungen: Wie wir an Krisen wachsen, as well as Daniel Wisser, winner of the Austrian Book Prize, with his latest work Wir bleiben noch, a book about a Viennese social democratic family spanning four generations, that is not spared from the rightward shift of their country. The special edition of “Das Blaue Sofa” will be available on our website on 16 June from 7 p.m. and will also be broadcast on 3sat on 20 June at 12 p.m.

Hosts: Vivian Perkovic, Cécile Schortmann, Jo Schück, Christine Watty
