Diversity, environmental protection, equality - which generation has taken society the furthest? Each generation sees the pioneering achievements of the previous one - as well as their failures. In the documentary "Kulturzeit extra: Ok, Boomer! Ach, Greta!", host Vivian Perkovic brings activists from different generations into conversation with each other and examines the relationship between the generations based on three topics: Environmental protection, gender equality and life in (migrant and) post-migrant society. For each topic, she meets two activists from different generations - from the 'Emma' to the 'Greta' generation - and takes them on a journey into the past to enter a dialogue.

The protagonists: Anti-nuclear pioneer Rebecca Harms co-founded the "Republic of Free Wendland" in 1980. She meets the "Fridays for Future" press spokesman Quang Paasch. The co-founder of Berlin's first women's center Cristina Perincioli discusses with Maja Bogojević, founder of the digital education platform "explain to me...". Ali Can is founder of the association intercultural peace and initiator of the hashtag #metwo, he gets to know the trade unionist Irina Vavitsa - first generation guest worker who helped organize the guest worker strike at the car supplier Hella in Lippstadt in 1973.
